methods. The Florida House Learning Center demonstrates appropriate design
strategies and technology for living in southwest Florida. The house
features an energy-saving passive cooling design and many cost-effective and
affordable building methods and materials available through off-the-shelf
technology. The "Model Florida Yard" is a demonstration landscape for the
Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Program, which demonstrates Environmental
Landscape Management (ELM) principles in design and maintenance.
